A children’s toy pushed by the wind was Massoud Hassani’s inspiration for Mine Kafon, a cost-efficient device developed to assist in determining and destroying landmines in contaminated conflict-areas. The spherical form and balanced weight of the device allow it to catch the wind flows and roll over fields, detonating landmines as it travels.
