For the I-Joist cabinet, Steven Banken has preserved the original qualities of the wood as much as possible. He adapted the planks as little as needed, and kept the grains visible – including the knots. The cabinet looks like a pile of wood and can easily be deconstructed, after which the wood can be recycled.
