Fransje Gimbrere

From brightly coloured room dividers out of recycled plastic to acoustic arches out of paper yarn. This new method of weaving allows for endless possibilities in shape, use of colour and material and therefore in application. Standing Textile(s) by Fransje Gimbrere. Now on display in the Kazerne exhibition CIRCULAR> MATERIALISTS.

From a desire to bring textile into the interior in different ways these Standing Textile(s) arose, thread by thread, on a custom-made weaving loom. 3D-woven configurations are designed in an experimental way, creating intriguing tactile volumes.
