–Oddlysatisfying imagery as an endless loop 

As we approach the end of an unprecedented period of lockdown, the confinement of our online existence begins to break into the physical world again. ‘Perpetual Circumstances’ plays on the transition between these two contexts, translating tropes of #oddlysatisfying viral imagery into an endless physical loop. The repetitive motion has a healing effect on – pandemic amplified – emotions of fear and uncertainty, without swiping. 

Gavin Jones is an Eindhoven based designer, who’s work explores the pleasures of mechanical functionality. He is fascinated by the spectacle of the machine, often culminating in hypnotic choreographies. His creations are situated across sculpture, installation and performance.
