DDW 2018: projects Siba Sahabi and Fermenta are added to ONGOING DIALOGUE

The new Kazerne exhibition ONGOING DIALOGUE – New Design By Old Friends celebrates the many designers who contributed to the transformation of Kazerne into a Home of Design. Recent work by over 40 leading and promising designers including Lidewij Edelkoort & Kiki van Eijk for Google, Maarten Baas, Studio Drift, and Léa Mazy will be on display until spring 2019.

From 20 to 28 October, coinciding with Dutch Design Week 2018, the ongoing exhibition ONGOING DIALOGUE will be supplemented with two special projects by Siba Sahabi and Fermenta.

Social innovation
Fermenta combines product design with traditional skills and social innovation. This Portuguese creative collective for people over the age of 60 will show the creative embroidery of its members (aged 60 to 91!) live during Dutch Design Week.

Audiovisual installation
The audiovisual installation of the German / Iranian designer Siba Sahabi consists of three music pattern devices and one soundscape. Sahabi reinterpreted three music notation systems from different periods and regions and gives them a new meaning by connecting them with contemporary design.
